Senior IPS officer, 1999 batch Karnataka cadre,K. Madhukar Shetty, 47, passed away at a hospital in Hyderabad on Friday.
He was hospitalised for over a week on a suspected case of H1N1 infection-induced pneumonia. He underwent heart surgery on Wednesday and was on life support.
He was a man known for his values and integrity, the news of his loss reverberated within the highest ranks of the state government.
