Independence’s Amrit Mahotsav was organized in South Eastern Coalfield Limited on the completion of 75 years of independence of India, the “Amrit Mahotsav of Independence” was inaugurated by the Chairman and Managing Director of SECL, A.P. Panda, Chief Vigilance Officer, SECL, B.P. Sharma and Director (Finance) / Director (Personnel), SECL, SM Chaidhary, General Manager (Personnel / Administration) A.K. Saxena and the heads of the other departments, officers-employees were present on this occasion.

During the festival, various types of programs will also be organized in all the coal fields of SECL. In the sequel to this festival, Director (Finance / Personnel) of SECL, SM Chaudhary’s Chief Guestship and in the presence of General Manager (Personnel / Administration) A.K. Saxena and in the presence of various Heads of Departments, Officers and Employees, Dr. Praveen Kumar Mishra, Head of the Department of History, Gurughasidas University, presented his statement. The speaker Dr. Pravin Kumar Mishra, Head of the Department of History, Gurughasidas University in his address threw a detailed light on the freedom struggle of 1857.

Presiding over the event on the occasion, Director (Finance / Personnel) S.M.Chaudhary said that with this event we have got the opportunity to remember our freedom fighters. It is due to our freedom fighters and great men that we have got the opportunity to live in independent India, for which we will always be indebted to all these great men. He called upon the attendees to participate enthusiastically throughout the program. At the end of the program, General Manager (Personnel / Administration) A.K. Saxena thanked the attendees.
