Santosh Sharma, CMD HCL, graced the final match as Chief Guest.Speaking on the occasion,Santosh Sharma CMD, assured the gathering that HCL will continue to provide patronage and provide all support to take the tournament to a new heights of glory. Arun Kumar Shukla, Director (Operations) and Naveen Kumar Singh, CVO also graced the occasion. In this edition of the tournament, in which 112 teams from across the Sates participated. Winner of the tournament takes home cash prize of Rs 1.0 lakh. Also teams from the State of Bihar, Orissa and Chhattisgarh participated in the event. BCA, Jamshedpur was the winner of this year tournament.Basuki Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament one of the biggest cricket tournament in Jharkhand which runs for a period of one and half months and ends on 28th December, the death anniversary day of late Basuki Singh.Basuki Singh Memorial Cricket Tournament,is continuously held since last 26 years from the year 1993 in the memory of Basuki Singh, renowned and most popular Trade Union leader of Ghatsila sub-division. Management of HCL paid rich tributes to last Shri Basuki Singh and Smt Sangita Sharma, first lady of HCL honored Smt Indu Singh wife of last Basuki Singh.

Keeping in view the importance and impact of this tournament the management of Hindustan Copper Limited. decided to support this tournament under CSR & S programme.
A large number of local youths and students of Ghatsila,Jamshedpur have been inspired
from this tournament and they have a dream to participate and perform in the tournament. A physically challenged player namely Raju Karmakar of Ghatsila has been selected in the National team of physically challenged cricketers.

This tournament now has become an identity of this locality,.Hindustan Copper Limited is main sponsor of the tournament and is instrumental in making this tournament successful every year.
