NTPC celebrates its 45th Raising Day

On the 45th raising day of NTPC Ltd, R.K. Singh, Minister of State(IC), Power, New and Renewable Energy, congratulated NTPC family for their consistent performance and urged the Company to become a global player. He also lauded the company for keeping power costs under check through its excellence in operations.
Coal based power will be there as we have huge requirement. Happy to see NTPC managed to maintain power costs by driving efficiencies despite spurt in coal price, R.K. Singh added. S.N. Sahai, Secretary (Power) and Gurdeep Singh, CMD NTPC were also present.
On the occasion, a cultural program titled Satyamev Jayate was presented by the children of the employees of NTPC family across locations. It was a celebration of music, drama and dance, honouring the nation’s founding principle and patriotism.
The evening also witnessed the presentation of the Swarn Shakti awards to the best performing power stations of NTPC in various categories.
