NOC Application System (NOCAS) Version 2 dedicated to the nation by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Civil Aviation P. Ashok Gajapathi New Delhi – 30th December, 2015 – AAI has been entrusted with the responsibility of issuance of ‘No Objection Certificate’ for height clearance for structures around the airports to achieve the objective of flight safety. Hitherto, procession of NOC cases involved time consuming manual calculations and verification process resulting in lead times of six weeks or more for the issue of NOC. NOCAS Version 2.0 has been developed by AAI’s in-house NOC team in close collaboration with NIIT with user friendly automated features. This version provides access to Urban and Town Planners as well as individual applicants, to verify status of NOC issued. Colour Coded Zoning Maps (CZZM) are available for 12 major cities including the four metros. The NOCAS Version was dedicated to the nation today by Union Minister of Civil Aviation P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted the importance of transparency in day to day functioning and applauded the action of AAI in this direction. Secretary (Civil Aviation) RN Choubey while speaking on this occasion complimented AAI for this timely action and mentioned that this is a praiseworthy step towards implementation of Prime Minister’s programme of ‘e-governance’ and ‘ease of doing business’ and shall be considered as a best gift to the nation on the occasion of New Year. The Chairman, Airports Authority of India, RK Srivastava, complimented the team AAI in general and ANS Directorate in particular for working out such an innovative and useful tool in the public domain. Earlier, while giving the welcome address, AK Dutta, Member (ANS) highlighted the mandate given to AAI towards issuance of NOC by an Act of Parliament. He also highlighted the human free interaction system introduced in the NOCAS Version 2.0 and various automated features introduced in the new version thereby making it a unique application. Immediately after the launch of the programme, Minister cleared one NOC online through NOCAS Web Portal. All present applauded the same.
