Newly appointed Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh Amitabh Jain took over with simplicity

Raipur, 30 November 2020 / Indian Administrative Service Year 1989 Sold Officer, Amitabh Jain assumed charge as Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh today. Amitabh Jain assumed his office as the 12th Chief Secretary of the state with great simplicity. The outgoing Chief Secretary, R.P. Mandol As a result of the retirement of the Board, Amitabh Jain has been posted as Chief Secretary.

Significantly, Amitabh Jain is from the state of Chhattisgarh. He has also served as Minister (Economic) in the Indian High Commission in London during his deputation to the Center, where he worked to increase trade and investment between India and Britain. His schooling is from Dalli Rajhara in Balod district. He has been a topper in the 11th Board in undivided Madhya Pradesh.

Jain, who studied mechanical engineering from Raipur, has done M.Tech. Jain’s first posting as IAS was as Assistant Collector Land Revenue Magistrate in Jabalpur, undivided Madhya Pradesh. He then held various administrative posts at Neemuch, Surguja, Gwalior. After this Jain was the collector of Rajgarh, Chhatarpur and Hoshangabad districts. Jain was a two-time collector of Raipur district. After this, Jain has very efficiently discharged the responsibilities of various important departments as Secretary, Principal Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary in the Government of Chhattisgarh. The duties of important departments have been discharged with great efficiency.
