Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company limited,MSETCL a wholly owned corporate entity under the Maharashtra Government, was incorporated under the Companies Act, in June, 2005 after restructuring the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board to transmit electricity from its point of Generation to its point of Distribution.

Coveted for their independence and exceptional research, Skoch Award is distinctive for its approach in selection of awardees. The Skoch Award is known to follow the most rigorous process of selection. Nominations found to be complete in all respects are put through secondary research by the Awards Secretariat. These are then recommended to the Awards Committee for further evaluation.

Parrag Jaiin Nainutia (IAS) is the Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd. (MSETCL). He is a senior IAS officer of 1996 batch. Prior to joining of MSETCL Jaiin was posted as Special Commissioner in Sales Tax.
