The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel has said, as we are celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, I will follow his path & I will not sign on the National Register of Citizens (NRC) register. I will not accept it. I will be the first person not to sign on the NRC register. Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel said There are more than 2 crore people in the state and half of them won’t be able to prove their citizenship as they don’t have any land record. If there are illegal infiltrators, the govt agencies should nab them.
