India Post Releases Commemorative Stamp on HAL

The stamp was released at a program here today by Usha Chandrashekhar, Chief Post Master General, Karnataka Circle, and Mr. V.M. Chamola, Director (HR), HAL in the presence of senior officials from both the organizations.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandrashekhar said “it is the first time India Post is coming out with customized ‘My Stamp’ and HAL is first organization to have it. The tag line ‘HAL: the force behind the forces’ for its Platinum Jubilee logo aptly represents HAL’s contribution to the nation’s defence forces”.
Speaking on the occasion Chamola said “HAL had organized several events in the past few months as part of Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The stamp depicts HAL’s special 75-year logo that signifies HAL’s journey in the past 75 years. The special logo depicts HAL’s first indigenous aircraft program from HT-2 to Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) – Tejas. The logo also reflects HAL’s rotary wing capabilities by displaying a watermark of HAL’s star performer Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) – Dhruv. The rays emanating from the centre signify the progress and the growth of the Company throughout its long history. The tricolor salutes HAL’s spirit and association of service to the nation”.
