R.K. Dutta took over as DGP of Karnataka

Rupak Kumar Dutta, 1981 batch IPS officer of Karnataka cadre today evening has taken over as Director General of Police of Karnataka. He took over the charge from his Om Prakash the out goimg DGP of Karnataka.
Known as a prominent and upright IPS officer Dutta was front runner for the post of CBI Chief, he had been Special Director of CBI before he was made Special Secretary in MHA. R K Dutta has returned to the parent Karnataka cadre as DGP.
